It was a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star in 1983 and retained that rating until 1993.[2][3][4][5][6]Head chef in the time of the Michelin star was Ida Kleijnen.[7][8][9]Owner Ida Kleijnen sold the restaurant in 1994 to her son Paul Keijdener. The same day, they learned the restaurant had lost its Michelin star.[10] Keijdener continued the restaurant till 2004, when he decided to pursue other challenges. After a stint in France, he returned to Valkenburg in 2011. The old restaurant Lindenhorst was still for sale, so he moved back to the place where it all begun for him.
