Petals are yellow, oblong-oval, 2.5-3.5 cm long.[2] The flowering period extends from May through June.[2] The flowers are hermaphrodite and pollinated by insects (entomophily). Fruit is a capsule with ten compartments, each containing one seed. DistributionThis plant is widespread in the western Mediterranean, from Spain to northwestern Italy.[2] HabitatIt prefers rocky places containing serpentinites, at an altitude of {{convert|300|-|1100|m}} above sea level.[2] References1. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.theplantlist.org/tpl1.1/record/kew-2348526|title=The Plant List: A Working List of All Plant Species|accessdate=4 October 2014}} 2. ^1 2 3 4 Pignatti S. - Flora d'Italia – Edagricole – 1982.
