Early life and educationLisa was born and raised in Woodmere, New York. She graduated Lawrence High School, a public school located in Lawrence, New York. Lisa graduated with Honors from The Johns Hopkins University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 1981. She received her Juris Doctorate from The New York University School of Law in 1984, where she won the American Jurisprudence Award for Excellence in Constitutional Law. She entered the New York Bar in 1985 and the Connecticut Bar in 1991.[1] Legal careerDuring law school, Lisa worked for the Real Estate Finance Division of the New York State Attorney General. She ran unopposed in 2014 and is currently serving a four-year term. Broadcasting careerSeeking a career in radio, Lisa completed the curriculum of the Connecticut School of Broadcasting in January 2006. She began her own show on September 30, 2006, airing on Cox Radio's 1400 WSTC/1350 WNLK in Fairfield County, Connecticut. Governor Jodi Rell was the first guest. The show grew from a 60-minute format on Saturday mornings to airing five days a week during the primetime slot of 4-6 PM. The award-winning book was also published in Japanese, Russian and Chinese, as well as in a paperback edition.[8] Jill Zarin is one of the original "Housewives of New York City" airing on Bravo TV. Lisa has published op-ed pieces in Hearst Newspapers and The Hartford Courant. Personal Life and Community ServiceLisa has been a resident of Westport, Connecticut since 1989. She served on the Board of Directors of the Jewish Community Centers in Norwalk, Westport, Wilton, Weston, and Bridgeport for a number of years.
