Ringo Starr (b. 1940) is an English musician who gained prominence as the drummer for the Beatles. With the group, Starr occasionally performed lead vocals, usually for one song an album. Starr wrote two songs for the group, "Don't Pass Me By" and "Octopus's Garden", and is credited as co-writer for others, including "What Goes On" and "Flying". After their break-up, Starr pursued a solo career, and has recorded and performed hundreds of songs since, as a solo artist and with his All-Starr Band. Songs
