He also won the 'Best Debut Director' award for his film My Son is Gay in 8th Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival 2018, held at Delhi.[3][4][5] Early life and careerHe was born on 29 June 1989 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He did his schooling in Kalashetra matriculation school & then pursued diploma in mechanical engineering in S.A Polytechnic college. He was working in BPO industry for few years though he always had a great passion for cinema.[6] Inspired by many film festivals & social issues in the society, he started making his own short films which allowed him to experiment, learn the craft & later he turned into a full time independent filmmaker.[7][8] FilmographyAs director, writer & producer.
