Los Azules represents one of the largest silver reserve in Argentina and in the world having estimated reserves of 84.9 million oz of silver and 2.7 million oz of gold. The mine also has reserves amounting to 1.39 billion tonnes of ore grading 0.46% copper.[1] Los Azules was owned by Minera Andes, which was acquired by McEwen Mining.
