释义 |
During the 1980s the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs football team twice won the Southland Conference, then left that Conference in 1986, joining the newly created non–football American South Conference as a charter member, becoming an independent team playing in NCAA Division I. The team reached the finals of the Division I-AA Championship in 1984. 1980{{Infobox NCAA team season|Year=1980 |Team=Louisiana Tech Bulldogs |Conference=Southland Conference |ShortConference=SLC |Record=5–6 |ConfRecord=2–3 |Champion= |BowlTourney = |BowlTourneyResult = |HeadCoach= Billy Brewer |Prev year= 1979 |Next year= 1981 }}{{1980 Southland Conference football standings}} Schedule{{CFB schedule| rankyear = no | poll = no |{{CFB schedule entry | date = September 13 | w/l = l | away = y | opponent = Mississippi State | site_stadium = Scott Field | site_cityst = Starkville, Mississippi | score = 11–31 | attend = 32,812 }} |{{CFB schedule entry | date = September 20 | w/l = l | away = y | opponent = {{cfb link|year=1980|team=Southern Miss Golden Eagles|title=Southern Miss}} | gamename = Rivalry in Dixie | site_stadium = M.
