Luboš Andršt (born 26 July 1948, Prague, Czechoslovakia)[1] is a Czech jazz fusion, rock and blues guitarist, composer, producer, and guitar teacher. Known primarily for his electric rock-influenced guitar playing, he frequently played acoustic guitar on jazz fusion recordings in the 1970s. Since the late 1990s, he has been best known as the key figure on the Czech blues and blues-rock scene with his Luboš Andršt Blues Band , and has shared the stage with a number of American blues musicians, including B.B. King.

He founded his first band, the Roosters, in 1966. He then played in a several blues-rock formations, including the early Framus Five rendition in 1970. In the early 1970s he was a member of Martin Kratochvíl's Jazz Q. In 1973 he co-founded a new jazz fusion band Energit with two former members of Flamengo (Ivan Khunt and Jaroslav Erno Šedivý). In the 1970s and early 1980s he also collaborated with a number of Czech and Slovak rock and jazz musicians, including Peter Lipa. He has been a member of the new versions of Framus Five (also known as Framus 5) and Energit since they re-formed in 2000 and 2003, respectively. He has been a long-time member of an acoustic trio with Michal Prokop and Jan Hrubý.

His father was a Czech ice hockey player and executive Zdeněk Andršt. His cousin is another guitarist Petr Janda from the legendary Czech Beat music band Olympic.[2]
