CareerMkosana played college soccer at Dartmouth College between 2008 and 2011. During his time at Dartmouth, Mkosana was named Ivy League Player of the Year (2011), All-Ivy League First Team (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011), Soccer America Freshman, All-America First Team, College Soccer News Freshman, All-America First Team and Ivy League Rookie of the Year (2008). He became Dartmouth’s all-time career leader with 34 career goals, breaking a record that had stood since 1953.[1] Mkosana played for USL Premier Development League club Michigan Bucks in 2011.[2] Chicago Fire selected Mkosana in the second round (No. 23 overall) of the 2012 MLS SuperDraft, but wasn't signed by the club.[3] Mkosana signed with USL Pro club Harrisburg City Islanders in May 2012.[4] Mkosana signed with Tampa Bay Rowdies in the North American Soccer League in January 2014.[5]On 24 November 2014, Mkosana signed with North American Soccer League club New York Cosmos.[6] On 2 September 2015, Mkosana signed a contract extension to remain with the Cosmos.[7] The striker scored seven goals and added one assist across all competitions for the Cosmos in 2015. Mkosana scored a 90th-minute equalizing goal against New York City FC in the U.S. Open Cup, propelling the Cosmos to an eventual win in penalty kicks.[8] On 30 December 2016, Mkosana signed a one-year contract, with the option of a second, with Finnish Veikkausliiga side IFK Mariehamn.[9] Mkosana returned to New York Cosmos on 20 June 2017.[10] Mkosana spent the 2018 season with USL side Penn FC, before joining Louisville City FC at the end of the season.[11] International careerMkosana received his first international call-up to the Zimbabwe national team for its African Cup of Nations qualifier on 9 September 2018.[12] Career statistics{{updated|match played 2 October 2016}}[13]
