The Maestranza Central de Aviación Triciclo-Experimental (also designated XX-01[1]) was a prototype Chilean light aircraft of the 1940s. Design and developmentIn 1947, the Maestranza Central de Aviación, the Central Workshops of the Chilean Air Force designed and built the first Chilean-designed aircraft, the Triciclo-Experimental, unveiled in May 1947. The Triciclo, designed by Alfredo D. Ferrer,[2] was a low-winged monoplane of wooden construction with a fixed tricycle landing gear and a twin tail. The crew of two sat side-by-side in an enclosed cockpit, and were provided with dual flight controls. A single Franklin air-cooled horizontally-opposed piston engine drove a two-bladed propeller.[3] Specifications{{Aircraft specs |ref=Jane's All The World's Aircraft 1951–52[3] |prime units?=met |genhide= |crew=2 |capacity= |length m=6.50 |length ft= |length in= |length note= |span m=11.0 |span ft= |span in= |span note= |height m=1.80 |height ft= |height in= |height note= |wing area sqm=13 |wing area sqft= |wing area note= |aspect ratio= |airfoil= |empty weight kg=355 |empty weight lb= |empty weight note= |gross weight kg=600 |gross weight lb= |gross weight note= |max takeoff weight kg= |max takeoff weight lb= |max takeoff weight note= |fuel capacity= |more general=
