Sihui, formerly romanized as Szewui,{{efn|Sihui has also been romanized as Sze Hwuy.{{sfnp|Bolton & al.|1941|p=[https://books.google.com.hk/books?id=6irEoGgDrm4C&pg=PA262 262]}}}} is a county-level city in the west of the Pearl River Delta region in Guangdong province, China. It is administered as part of the prefecture-level city of Zhaoqing. Sihui's population is 542,873.{{when|date=October 2016}}

History

Under the Qing, Sihui{{nbsp}}County made up part of the commandery of Zhaoqing.{{sfnp|Bolton & al.|1941|p=[https://books.google.com.hk/books?id=6irEoGgDrm4C&pg=PA262 262]}} As with much of the surrounding countryside, Sihui was a source for many members of the Chinese diaspora during the late Qing.
