CareerKlepp ILThorisdottir began her career for the Norwegian first division team Klepp IL. ChelseaIn September 2017, Thorisdottir was signed by Chelsea on a contract until 2019. International careerThorisdottir went through all Norwegian junior teams and participated with the U-17 team in the qualification and the finals of the 2009 UEFA Women's Under-17 Championship in Nyon, when Norway was fourth place.[2] A year later, she and the Norway U17 fell in the second qualification round in the 2010 UEFA Women's Under-17 Championship. In the 2011 UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship she and her team reached the finals, but they lost for a massive score, 8–1 against Germany.[3] As a result of reaching the semi-finals, the Grasshoppers have qualified for the 2012 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup in Japan. Thorisdottir was part of the 21-roster that played the tournament. Her team reached the quarter-finals, but then they met Germany again and again they suffered a massive 4–0 defeat.[4] After that her international career came to a halt and only three years later, she was then called for two matches for the U-23 team and on 16 February 2015 she was called for the senior team for the first time,[5] was a part of team that played at the 2015 Algarve Cup.
