featured in the 2006 book Billion Dollar Agent by Steve Kantor.[9] Early life and educationBattiata was born in Washington, D.C. and attended Tulane University where he earned a B.A. in philosophy.[2] Prior to real estate, Battiata sailed tall ships, including the Californian which he captained in 1996 when it was used for fundraising tours by the nonprofit organization who owned it.[1] CareerBattiata founded The Battiata Real Estate Group in 1999 in Del Mar, California.[3] Since 2001, he has been rated as one of the top-selling agents in the United States, selling between 200 and
