The Mayor is also the executive head and leads the city's departments in executing the city ordinances and improving public services. The city mayor is restricted to three consecutive terms, totaling nine years, although a mayor can be elected again after an interruption of one term. Mayor Lani Cayetano is the incumbent and the first female and youngest official who hold the office. She assumed her office in May 10, 2010 national and local elections. She is also the wife of current Senator Alan Peter Cayetano.[1] She ran again in 2013 and won the 2013 mayoralty office. She ran under the Nacionalista Party and a former congresswoman of Taguig and Pateros.[2] References1. ^{{cite news |title=Taguig proclamation of winners disrupted |url=http://www.philstar.com/Article.aspx?articleId=574752&publicationSubCategoryId=65 |work=The Philippine Star |date=May 13, 2010 |accessdate=August 26, 2011 }} 2. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.philstar.com/Article.aspx?articleId=856055&publicationSubCategoryId=200 |title=Taguig Mayor Lani Cayetano files COC for re-election bid - Home » Other Sections » Breaking News |publisher=Philstar.com |date=2012-10-04 |accessdate=2012-10-27}} 3 : Mayors of places in Metro Manila|Politics of Taguig|Lists of mayors of places in the Philippines |
