}}Mesodapedon is an extinct genus of hyperodapedontid rhynchosaur from middle Triassic (Anisian stage) deposits of India. It is known from the holotype ISIR-300 and from the paratype ISIR-301 from the Yerrapalli Formation. It was first named by Sankar Chatterjee in 1980 and the type species is Mesodapedon kuttyi.[1] It is extremely closely related to the Tanzanian Stenaulorhynchus and even was considered to be its synonym.[2] References1. ^{{cite journal |authors=Sankar Chatterjee |year=1980 |title=The evolution of Rhyncosaurs |journal=Mémoires de la Société Géologique de France |volume=139 |issue= |pages=57–65 }} {{Portal|Paleontology}}{{Archosauromorpha|R.}}{{Taxonbar|from=Q6821458}}{{triassic-reptile-stub}}2. ^{{cite journal |authors=David M.
