Sleepy Hollow is a circular, shallow depression in Gusev Crater on Mars near the landing site of the Mars Exploration Rover Spirit in 2004. About {{convert|12|m}} from the landing site, Sleepy Hollow measures about {{convert|9|m}} across. The name is an allusion to the locale mentioned in Washington Irving's "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow". According to a press conference, it was the hollow where Spirit slept as it was checked before beginning to rove Mars. External links
