Following-on in their second-innings, Ikin was dismissed for 5 by Graeme Watson.[5] He made his second first-class appearance in 1979 against the touring Indians.[6] Not required to bat in the Minor Counties first-innings, Ikin proceeded to bowl 23 wicket-less overs in the Indians first-innings. In the Minor Counties second-innings, he made his highest first-class score of 31, before being dismissed by Chetan Chauhan. He then bowled 12 wicket-less overs in the Indians second-innings.[7] He also made 2 List A appearances for Minor Counties East in the 1977 Benson & Hedges Cup against Essex and Yorkshire.[2] In these matches, he scored 60 runs at an average of 30.00, while making his only List A half century.[3] This came in the match against Yorkshire.[8] He took just a single wicket for the team at a cost of 91 runs.[4] References1. ^{{cite web|url=https://cricketarchive.com/Archive/Players/30/30524/Minor_Counties_Championship_Matches.html|title=Minor Counties Championship Matches played by Michael Ikin|publisher=CricketArchive|accessdate=19 June 2011}} 2. ^1 {{cite web|url=https://cricketarchive.com/Archive/Players/30/30524/List_A_Matches.html|title=List A Matches played by Michael Ikin|website=CricketArchive|accessdate=19 June 2011}} 3. ^1 {{cite web|url=https://cricketarchive.com/Archive/Players/30/30524/a_Batting_by_Team.html|title=List A Batting and Fielding For Each Team by Michael Ikin|publisher=CricketArchive|accessdate=19 June 2011}} 4. ^1 {{cite web|url=https://cricketarchive.com/Archive/Players/30/30524/a_Bowling_by_Team.html|title=List A Bowling For Each Team by Michael Ikin|publisher=CricketArchive|accessdate=19 June 2011}} 5. ^{{cite web|url=https://cricketarchive.com/Archive/Scorecards/32/32668.html|title=Minor Counties v Australians, 1972|publisher=CricketArchive|accessdate=19 June 2011}} 6. ^{{cite web|url=https://cricketarchive.com/Archive/Players/30/30524/First-Class_Matches.html|title=First-Class Matches played by Michael Ikin|publisher=CricketArchive|accessdate=19 June 2011}} 7. ^{{cite web|url=https://cricketarchive.com/Archive/Scorecards/39/39465.html|title=Minor Counties v Indians, 1979|publisher=CricketArchive|accessdate=19 June 2011}} 8. ^{{cite web|url=https://cricketarchive.com/Archive/Scorecards/37/37011.html|title=Minor Counties East v Yorkshire, 1977 Benson & Hedges Cup|publisher=CricketArchive|accessdate=19 June 2011}} External links
