Chart - "Leave it to Snoop to deliver a bumpin' P-Funk beat. In Tha House Vol. 1 is the audio equivalent of his Doggy Style porn series and Hollywood comedies — no convoluted themes, just the down-ass dirty shit that keeps people coming back for more. He's got his crew — Mr. Kane, Soopafly, LaToiya Williams and E-White — out in full force. All have the lyrical skills to pay the bills, but it's those bass-heavy beats that'll blow your sub and your mind. There are no clear highlights, just a steady, slow-burning dose of funky cheeba. This is the best thing Snoop has done outside of his work with Dr. Dre, thanks in large part to the involvement of producers like Hi-Tek, DJ Premier and the Alchemist, the Album sold in the first week 63,000 copies and reached in 2012 1,320,000 Copies ."[5]

The Doggumentary DVD

There was a DVD released at the same time called Snoop Dogg - Welcome to the House - The Doggumentary. Two videos were shot to promote the album, first one for Fallen star sung by Latoiya Williams filmed in August 2002 and directed by Diane Martel and Snoop who renamed himself Snoop Scorsese for that one-time occasion. It also finished at the 85th in BET's Top Music Videos of 2002. Another video is for track #3 Not like it was a Jessy Terrero (Right Thurr, Outta Control) piece, which was first aired in November 2002.
