Mogul is an all-inclusive technology platform and mobile app that enables women worldwide to connect, converse, and access knowledge from each other. It was founded in 2014 by Tiffany Pham and David Pham.

A social enterprise, Mogul encourages its users to ask questions, solicit advice, and share ideas and opportunities with others on the platform.[1] Users can view trending content including conversations and jobs which are personalized to their interests, experience, education, location, or career. Users can then upvote, downvote, reply to, and share the posted content.[2][3][4]

In 2016, Mogul launched the #IAmAMogul campaign, partnering with notable influencers including Chelsea Clinton, Mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo, Nina García, Katie Couric, Kelly Osbourne, Laura Prepon, Lindsey Stirling, Lizzie Velásquez, Fran Hauser, Phillipa Soo, and Paige Howard. The campaign was launched to "inspire all women to realize that they too can be moguls, and that they have the power to shape the world through their voices and actions."[5] Other significant campaigns include the #AskAMogul series, created by Emmy Award-winning producer of Good Morning America & CNN Mary Pflum.[6]

Social impact model

Through its Mogul At Work division, Mogul licenses software for companies to attract, retain, and advance diverse talent. Mogul enables companies to post jobs and internships, access webinar trainings such as on Unconscious Bias and Inclusive Leadership, and leverage Safety At Work software that enables employees to report anonymous feedback to company stakeholders in real-time.[7]

Through its Mogul Studios division, Mogul partners with companies to communicate and engage with women through advertising. Mogul collaborates with partners on and distributes content, from online posts to TV shows.[8] Such content abides by the "Mogul Standard," launched at the United Nations, which Chief Marketing Officers follow in order to present women in a positive and diverse light in their advertising and marketing outputs.[9]

Through its Mogul Redefined division, Mogul provides direct-to-consumer educational products to help further redefine the word "mogul" for girls and women, including: Mogul Learning; Mogul Books, including Wall Street Journal bestselling book You Are a Mogul[10][11][12] and Girl Mogul; and the global education event Mogul X.[13]

For every $1 Mogul earns, Mogul provides free educational resources to women in need through international partners such as the United Nations.[14] Users obtain access to award-winning courses on Career, Personal Finance, Education, Engineering, Entrepreneurship, Beauty, Cuisine, Fitness, Relationships, and Travel.[15] The courses are self-paced and each consist of 12 modules, including assessments and guided homework at the end of each lesson for self-evaluation. Users obtain ongoing access to mentors throughout, to which they may pose further questions.
