Several species formerly included have been moved to the genus Plectranthus. They are native to tropical Africa, Asia and Australia. Some species are cultivated for their highly variegated leaves.[1] Other interesting coleus relatives include Plectranthus amboinicus, more commonly known as the 'Indian Mint', 'Mexican Mint', 'Cuban Oregano', or 'Country Borage'. Its flavor is described as similar to oregano, but with a sharper mint taste. This plant is used to mask the strong flavors of meats while the plant's oils can be used as a natural mosquito repellent. Species
