It was closed on December 28, 1985 when service on the "E" Branch past Heath Street was "temporarily" suspended.[1] The route 39 bus, the replacement for the Arborway Line, now stops at the same location. Stony Brook station on the Orange Line is {{convert|0.4|miles}} to the east along Boylston Street.
