Mr Rutland (03(97)) was a male osprey who nested on the top of an oak tree, near Rutland Water in England. Mr Rutland was one of the first chicks to be introduced to England, in 1997, and first nested in 2001; he raised a single chick with an unringed female at a nest on private land, close to the reservoir. He continued to breed every year up to 2014. By 2015, he had migrated some {{Convert|100000|mi|km}}.[1] He failed to return in 2016 at the age of 18.[2] DescendantsHe raised a total of 32 chicks with three different females.
