Sopot ({{lang-sr-cyr|Сопот}}, {{IPA-sh|sɔ̂pɔːt|pron}}) is a municipality of the city of Belgrade. Its name derives from the old Slavic word for spring (sr. izvor). According to the 2011 census results, the municipality has a population of 20,367 inhabitants.

It is located near the mountain Kosmaj. The municipality has a large primary and economics high school, one of the largest in the Balkans.{{citation needed|date=February 2017}} Sopot has a soccer club called the Wolves from Kosmaj and a basketball club, also called the Wolves from Kosmaj.

Since 1972, an annual film festival "Sofest" has been held.[3]

There are two game hunting grounds in the municipality: Trešnja, which extends into the Voždovac municipality, and Kosmaj, on the mountain of the same name.[7]
