Traction

As the route is yet to be fully electrified, it is hauled by a Kalyan based WCAM 3 locomotive from Mumbai CSMT up to Pune handing over to a Pune based WDM 3A locomotive [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FOUqT354hkY] until Wadi following which a Royapuram based WAP 4 powers the train for the remainder of the journey until Chennai Central.
