The town comes in Union Council Punjab. The neighbourhood villages are Kot, Said Ali, Tobha. The town Muqeem Shah is located at centre of the cited Union Council. .[2] NameThe town is named after Syed Peer Muqeem Shah, who is buried there. His descendant Gulsher Shah also lived there. They now have a Darbar there who's Sajadanasheen is Syed Fazal Mehmood Shah. They all belonged to the Sayyid Family. HistoryThere is no one having a complete history about the foundation of town, but some clues show that the town is very old. Some graves in the town's graveyard are at least two or three hundred years old. The data about Syed Peer Muqeem Shah is also not available in solid shape, there are just unreliable stories about him: That he was awarded by different miracles by Allah Almighty. There are also myths about him that he could revive himself but died because Allah Almighty ordered him. DescendantsThese are the Descendants of Syed Muqeem Shah. PopulationThe population of the town is of about 15 houses. The population is now increasing because being a peace full place people are migrating here day by day.
