It is situated at {{coord|37|02|N|34|59|E}} in Çukurova (Cilicia of the antiquity) to the northeast of Tarsus and the junction of the motor ways {{TUR-O|21}} and {{TUR-O|52}}. The village is slightly elevated with respect to the plains. Its distance to Tarsus is {{convert|16|km}} and to Mersin is {{convert|41|km}}.[1] The population of Muratlı was 176 [2] as of 2012. Main economic activity is agriculture and grapes is the major crop of the village.
