The South Asia Olympic Council (formerly known as South Asian Sports Federation, established 1981) is the governing body of South Asian Games. Member nations include South Asian countries: Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and newly joined Afghanistan The South Asian Federation is a sports body that looks after sports ties among the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation.
