词条 | Must pass bill |
释义 |
A must pass bill is a measure, considered vitally important, that must be passed and enacted by the United States Congress (e.g. funding for a function of government). Because of the time-sensitive nature of these bills, they are often amended with policy provisos, or 'riders', unrelated to the principle function of the bill itself.[1] References1. ^{{cite web|title=United States Senate Glossary - "must pass" bill|url=https://www.senate.gov/reference/glossary_term/must_pass_bill.htm|publisher=United States Senate|accessdate=7 October 2011| archiveurl= https://web.archive.org/web/20110719043954/https://www.senate.gov/reference/glossary_term/must_pass_bill.htm| archivedate= 19 July 2011}} {{US-poli-stub}}{{US-Congress-stub}} 1 : United States federal legislation |
