CIS is an organization that aims to institute freedom and democracy in Iran.[2] With all her talent to organizing students inside and outside of Iran Nahid became Executive Director of CIS in 2011. July 2013, CIS board of Directors elected Nahid Kalhori as the Secretary General of the Confederation of Iranian Students succeeds long standing Secretary General Amir Abbas Fakhravar.[3] Amnesty InternationalOn 31 May 2008, Nahid Kalhori, a 21-year-old graduate student of Biology at Qom's Azad University in Iran, got arrested by Islamic Republic of Iran's Intelligence Service.
