Nancy Hirschmann (born April 25, 1956) is a Professor of Politics at the University of Pennsylvania; her specialties are the history of political thought, analytical philosophy, feminist theory, disability theory, and the intersection of political theory and public policy. She received an BA from Smith College and MA and PhD degrees from the Johns Hopkins University. She then became a member of the Cornell University faculty for 12 years before moving to the University of Pennsylvania as Graduate Chair in the Political Science department. She has taught courses on modern political thought, political theory and public policy, feminist political thought, gender and political theory, and contemporary political thought. Her most recent research is on the topic of disability in political theory. Books
