Nathalie Poza Maupain (born March 7, 1972) is a Spanish actress.[1] Her credits include Todas las mujeres, Hispania, la leyenda, Football Days, Un lugar en el mundo and The Weakness of the Bolshevik.

Early life

She was born in Madrid, the daughter of a French mother and a Spanish father, and studied at a British bilingual school. From a young age, she learned to play the piano and practiced ballet.[1]

Career

Her theater career has been closely linked with of the group {{ill|Animalario|es|Animalario (grupo de teatro)}}, with which she has acted in various performances with actors such as {{ill|Andrés Lima|es}}, Javier Gutiérrez Álvarez, Guillermo Toledo, Alberto San Juan, and many others. Her ex-partner, Gonzalo de Castro, has also been linked to Animalario.[1]

In television she has had many secondary roles since the mid 90's, including appearances in {{ill|Hermanas (TV series)|lt=Hermanas|es|Hermanas (serie de televisión)}}, {{ill|Éste es mi barrio|es}}, {{ill|Más que amigos|es|Más que amigos (España)}}, {{ill|Periodistas|es|Periodistas (serie de televisión)}}, {{ill|Señor alcalde|es}}, and {{ill|El comisario|es}}, the last of which she has appeared in several episodes. In her first fixed television role in 2001, she played Nerea in {{ill|Policías, en el corazón de la calle|es}}.[1]

Later, she appeared in Hospital Central, and, in more permanent roles, in {{ill|Un lugar en el mundo (TV series)|lt=Un lugar en el mundo|es|Un lugar en el mundo (serie de televisión)}} (2003) and Maneras de sobrevivir (2005). Her first cinematographic works were the short films Abierto (El eco del tiempo) (1997), by Jaime Marques; No sé, no sé (1998), by Aitor Gaizka and Ruth está bien (1999), by Pablo Valiente.{{citation needed|date=August 2017}}

In 2002, she filmed the television movie Entre cien fuegos under the orders of {{ill|Iñaki Eizmendi|es|Basarri}} and that same year premiered The Other Side of the Bed, by Emilio Martínez-Lázaro, one of the most successful Spanish films in recent years.[1] The next year, Maria Ripoll directed her in {{ill|Utopía (2003 film)|lt=Utopía|es|Utopía (película de 2003)}}. She also acted in Football Days, by {{ill|David Serrano de la Peña|es}} and The Weakness of the Bolshevik, by Manuel Martín Cuenca. She acted again in movies with both directors, filming {{ill|Malas temporadas|es}} with Cuenca in 2005, and {{ill|Días de cine|es|Días de cine (película)}} with Serrano in 2007.{{citation needed|date=August 2017}}

She then filmed {{ill|Salir pitando|es}} (2007),[1] directed by Álvaro Fernández Armero; {{ill|El club de los suicidas |es|El club de los suicidas (película de 2007)}} (2007), by {{ill|Roberto Santiago|es}}; and the thriller Un buen hombre (2009), directed by {{ill|Juan Martínez Moreno|es|Juan Martínez Moreno (cineasta)}}. During those years, she acted in television, in series such as {{ill|LEX (TV series)|lt=LEX|es|LEX (serie de televisión)}} (2008), {{ill|Hispania, la leyenda|es}} (2010-2012)[1] and its spin-off {{ill|Imperium (TV series)|lt=Imperium|es|Imperium (serie de televisión)}} (2012). In 2013, the film {{ill|Todas las mujeres|es}} premiered, directed by Mariano Barroso, for which she received her third Goya nomination, for best supporting actress.{{citation needed|date=August 2017}} In 2015 she joined the series Carlos, rey emperador, where she plays Germaine of Foix.[2]
