HistoryNational Public School was founded in 1986 when some of the society well wishers, on looking educational backwardness of the area, came together irrespective of social differences in religion and caste that were prevalent at that time, and made a trust "National Public School Society" and thought to have an educational institution for the area. It was the first English medium school of the town. It was only after the schools establishment that the world class knowledge started flowing to the Baheri region and with the continuous efforts of the staff and active involvement of trust members, in a short span of time it started producing students with multiple talents. National Public School has one junior branch in Teacher's colony near Kesar Sugar factory in Baheri. In 2010 it celebrated its silver jubilee. National Public School runs more than 15 buses with a reach of about 30 kilometers. ActivitiesNational Public School balances the studies with the co-curricular activities. The school organises an annual sports meet which held the interschool competition. It also holds an intraschool competition in activities like handwriting, drawing, mehendi, debate, and quiz. The students are divided into four colour houses – red, blue, green, and yellow. The students wear these colour shirts mainly on Saturday for co-curricular activities. The school has the Student Cabinet in which the Head Boy and Head Girl and students for various other posts are elected by the school staff annually.
