Biblical Importance Netophah is mentioned in 2 Samuel 23:28-29 as a home of some of David's finest men and is also mentioned in Ezra 2:22 as a place to which the returning exiles came.[1][2] Although it is certain that the place was near Bethlehem, the modern site cannot be identified.[3] See also References 1. ^NIV: 2 Samuel 23:28-29 2. ^NIV: Ezra 2:22 3. ^The Illustrated Bible Dictionary page 1077 {{ISBN|978-0-85110-628-1}}
