Founded in 2008, it is the reserve and youth team of Newcastle Jets. The team currently plays in the National Premier Leagues Northern NSW which is the second level of Australia's football pyramid and in the National Youth League. They play home matches at Newcastle No.2 Sportsground. HistoryThe team was founded in 2008, as a Newcastle Jets representative team for the inaugural season of the National Youth League competition. On 19 September 2013, it was confirmed that the team would compete in the National Premier Leagues Northern NSW competition for 2014 season onwards.[1] A directive issued by the FFA ensures that the Newcastle Jets Youth team are not to be relegated to Northern NSW State League Division 1 if they finish last in the NNSW NPL competition.[2] StadiumThe team previously hosted its home matches at Wanderers Oval in Broadmeadow and at Adamstown Oval in Adamstown, both within the city of Newcastle.
