释义

  1. Notes

{{no footnotes|date = March 2018}}

Nigel d'Aubigny (died c. 1100) was a Norman knight, and supporter of William I of England. His name is frequently mentioned in the Domesday Book in connection with lands in what is now Bedfordshire. He almost certainly built, and lived in Cainhoe Castle, a small Motte and Bailey structure to the east of Ampthill.

His parentage is currently unclear, although he is believed to be part of the first "Arundel Line". He married Amicia, daughter of Henri de Ferrières, 1st Count of Ferrières, Lord of Longueville. Nigel had two children, Henry and Cecilia.[1]{{unreliable|date = April 2018}}
