The company was established in 2001 and is currently one of Iran's largest private investors in reverse osmosis.[1] In the January 2015 update of the Official Gazette, the registered capital of the company stands at 90 billion Rials.[2] NVCo is one of only 2 Iranian companies on the Pars Oil and Gas Company's approved vendor list for desalination units.[3] The preference in NVCo is given to BOO (Build-Own-Operate) and BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) contracts.[4] The current total RO desalination capacity of the company is approximately {{convert|75000|m3|e6usgal||abbr=off}} per day. Noor Vijeh's plants are located in Asaluyeh, Bandar Abbas, Bushehr, Kangan, Hendijan, and Chabahar (2 phases).[5][6][7][8][9] The newest plants to start operation are located in the city of Kangan and Bushehr, for which the opening ceremonies in 2016 received widespread media attention.[10][11][12][13] Noor Vijeh's RO plant in the city of Qom with a capacity of approximately {{convert|3000|m3|e3usgal|abbr=off}} per day successfully completed its contract in 2006.[14] References1. ^Meghdad Attarzadeh, David Kim Huat Chua, and Michael Beer.
