The North Yorkshire and South Durham Cricket League is the top level of competition for recreational club cricket in the North Yorkshire and South Durham area of England. The league was founded as long ago as 1892 with the first competition held the following year, but only since the 2012 season has it been a designated ECB Premier League. The competing teams for 2018 are as follows; the letter D or Y indicates whether a club is from Durham or Yorkshire: Barnard Castle (D), Bishop Auckland (D), Darlington (D), Great Ayton (Y), Hartlepool (D), Marske (Y), Marton (Y), Middlesbrough (Y), Richmondshire (Y), Seaton Carew (D), Stokesley (Y), and Thornaby (Y). Since 2016, the leading Yorkshire club in the league qualifies to take part in the Yorkshire Championship, together with the winners of the Bradford Premier League, the Yorkshire Premier League North, and the Yorkshire South Premier League.
