Previously signed to Indianola Records HistoryOh, Manhattan originally formed in 2009 in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia by members of various local acts. The name "Oh, Manhattan" was derived from a song written by original vocalist Donny Thomas about The Manhattan Project . Their first self-released EP was entitled "We're All Sons Of Bitches Now" which was a play on words spoken by Kenneth Bainbridge in reference to the first atom bomb. After a series of member changes the band released their second E.P. "The Anti Davinci" and were soon noticed by Matt Shelton of Indianola Records. Oh, Manhattan would go on to release a full-length album entitled "Spiritual Warfare" on Indianola Records Departure of Original VocalistIn early 2011 original clean vocalist Donny Thomas left the band for personal reasons after recording vocals on the "Spiritual Warfare" record. The band soon made the decision to re record the album with screamer Hance Alligood pulling double duties as clean vocalist and screamer. Although Thomas is not on the record he is still credited as the main lyrical contributor. Departure of Hance Alligood, Hiatus, and ReformationAs 2011 progressed Oh, Manhattan lost more members and saw more troubles on the road. Drummer Travis Holdren, and Bassist Matthew Burnette (now bassist for Tyler Carter) both departed early in the year. The members left of Oh, Manhattan pushed on for another four months until Hance Alligood left the band to replace Tyler Carter in Woe, Is Me. Now after a near two-year hiatus, Oh, Manhattan has announced a reunion with original vocalist to take place at the 2013 South By So What?! Music Festival. Band members
