CareerOmelchuk has represented Ukraine at three Olympics.[1] At the 2008 Summer Olympics, he finished in 16th place in the men's 10 m air pistol,[2] and in 4th place in the 50 m pistol, losing out on the bronze medal to Russia's Vladimir Isakov in a shoot-off.[3] At the 2012 Summer Olympics, Omelchuk finished 5th in the final round of the men's 10 m air pistol and in 29th place in the men's 50 m pistol.[1][4] He also competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
