Stephen Davis is an American music journalist and historian. Davis was born in New York City and attended Boston University. He began his career writing for the Boston Phoenix in 1970.[1] His journalism has appeared in Rolling Stone, The New York Times, the Boston Globe and numerous other papers and magazines.[1] Davis has been described as "perhaps America's best-known rock biographer", having written biographies of Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Fleetwood Mac, Aerosmith, Guns N' Roses, Michael Jackson, Carly Simon, Bob Marley, Levon Helm, and Jim Morrison, among others.[2] Davis lives in Milton, Massachusetts.[2] Bibliography- Reggae Bloodlines: In Search of the Music and Culture of Jamaica, with photographs by Peter Simon, Da Capo Press (1977), 1992, {{ISBN|0-306-80496-4}}
