It is also discharged with the accreditation and regulation of engineering education and profession throughout the country. It also acts as a think tank to the government and undertakes efforts to establish scientific standards for engineering innovations and services.[4] Its headquarters is located in Islamabad and regional/branch/liaison offices are located in main cities of Pakistan.[5] The council became a provisional member of Washington Accord in 2010 and became a full member in 2017.[6] In 2018, it became a full member of the International Professional Engineer (IntPE) Agreement (IPEA).[7] References1. ^1 {{cite web|url=https://www.pec.org.pk/downloads/GB%20members%202018-21.pdf|format=PDF|title=PEC Governing Body 2018-21|website=PEC.org.pk|accessdate=22 March 2019}} 2. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.pec.org.pk/pec_introduction.aspx|title=PEC Introduction|website=Pec.org.pk|accessdate=6 July 2018}} 3. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.pec.org.pk/brief_history.aspx|title=Brief History|website=Pec.org.pk|accessdate=6 July 2018}} 4. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.pec.org.pk/pec_functions.aspx|title=PEC Functions|website=Pec.org.pk|accessdate=6 July 2018}} 5. ^ 6. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.ieagreements.org/accords/washington/signatories/|title=Signatories » International Engineering Alliance|website=Ieagreements.org|accessdate=6 July 2018}} 7. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.ieagreements.org/agreements/ipea/members/|title=Members » International Engineering Alliance|website=Ieagreements.org|accessdate=6 July 2018}} External links
