}}Pammene populana, the pygmy piercer, is a species of moth of the Tortricidae family. It is found in most of Europe, except Portugal, the Balkan Peninsula and Ukraine.[1] The habitat consists of woodland, marshes, riverbanks, fens and sand dunes.[2] The wingspan is 10–15 mm.[3] Adults have a yellowish blotch on the dorsum with a darker central spot. They are on wing from July to August.[4] The larvae feed on Salix species. They spin a shelter from leaf fragments.
