Its only species, Paramarane pulchra, is found in New Guinea. Both the genus and species were described by George Thomas Bethune-Baker in 1910.[1][2] The wingspan is about 51 mm. The forewings are silvery white with a yellow costa and with an oblique waved yellow postmedial line with a finer dark brown central line. The hindwings are uniform golden yellow.[3] References1. ^{{LepIndex |id=58192 |name=Paramarane pulchra |accessdate=May 18, 2018}} {{Taxonbar |from=Q13477303}}{{Bombycoidea-stub}}2. ^{{cite web |last=Savela |first=Markku |url=http://www.nic.funet.fi/pub/sci/bio/life/insecta/lepidoptera/ditrysia/bombycoidea/eupterotidae/paramarane/ |title=Paramarane Bethune-Baker, 1910 |website=Lepidoptera and Some Other Life Forms |accessdate=October 21, 2018}} 3. ^[https://archive.org/stream/annalsmagazineof861910lond#page/450/mode/1up Annals and Magazine of Natural History (8) 6 (35): 450] 3 : Moths described in 1910|Eupterotidae|Monotypic moth genera |
