It was released on February 18, 1992 by Elektra. The album was supported by four singles: the aptly titled "Hit" which reached #1 on the Modern Rock Tracks chart in the US and #17 on the UK Singles Chart, "Walkabout", "Vitamin" and "Leash Called Love" which went #1 on the US Dance chart.[7] The album itself peaked at #95 on the Billboard 200 and went #16 on the official UK albums chart (OCC), marking their lowest charting positions on both charts.
