It closed in summer 2014 with pupils transferring to other local schools.[1] The school was located on Ganworth Road in Speke, Liverpool. The school opened in 2002 as a replacement for Speke Comprehensive School. The school was placed into special measures following a 2013 Ofsted inspection.[2] In March 2016 it was revealed that Liverpool City Council is paying £12,000 a day to the developers of the school site under the Private finance initiative, even though the site lies empty.
