Park Young-sun (born 22 January 1960) is a South Korean politician.

Early career

Park received a bachelor's degree in geography from Kyung Hee University. She is a member of the National Assembly and was the elected floor leader of New Politics Alliance for Democracy between May and October 2014.[1]

Career

Park was a MBC TV reporter[2] before becoming a politician in 2004. In 2014, she was elected the first female floor leader of a major opposition party in Korea.[3]

She is one of the most recognizable members of the Democratic Party. Also, she is a member of the 17th to 20th National Assembly in South Korea, and his constituency is located in Guro-gu, Seoul.

Since she was elected as the 17th National Assembly's proportional representative in 2004, she has served as chairman and supreme council member of the Democratic Party, chairman of the 19th National Assembly's Legislation and Judiciary Committee, and chairman of the party's Special Committee on Chaebol Reform. Moon Jae-in camp in the last presidential election committee elections played as a head of a party line captain.

In particular, she played a leading role in passing bills related to economic democratization, such as the expansion of punitive damages and the regulation on pushing ahead with all work, while serving as chairman of the judiciary committee in 2013. In addition, Guro-gu, Seoul, has a digital complex with the largest concentration of small and medium-sized companies and venture companies, so it has a strong understanding of small and medium-sized businesses and has served as the first minister of the Ministry of Small and Medium-sized Venture since it served in a group of lawmakers who protect small businesses and small businesses in 2011. In March 8th, 2019, she was appointed Minister of Small and Medium Venture Enterprises in Korea.
