She is of Chinese descent and went in Hong Kong to High school, enrolled in Drama school and worked as an actress. Later she went to the United States and studied Filming at the University of California, Los Angeles. In 1980 Pauline Chan moved to Australia and lived in Sydney.[2] CareerIn 1987 she debut as Australian actress in the George Miller produced Australian TV mini-series Vietnam. In 1989 TV miniseries Bangkok Hilton, Pauline Chan has appeared as Kang playing a corrupt pretty warder near Nicole Kidman, Hugo Weaving and Denholm Elliott. In 1994 Pauline Chan wrote and directed the film Traps. She also directed, wrote and produced the 2011 film 33 Postcards. In 1991 at Torino International Festival of Young Cinema Chan's Short film Dusty Hearts won the Special Mention Award in Category Short Film Competition Pauline Chan resides in Australia.
