Fluorocarbons and their derivatives are useful fluoropolymers, refrigerants, solvents, and anesthetics. Perfluorocarbon, is an example of Perfluoroaromatic compounds which contain only carbon and fluorine like other fluorocarbons, but also contain an aromatic ring. The other examples are hexafluorobenzene and octafluoronaphthalene.
