CareerYouthAs a scholar at Afrikaanse Hoër Seunskool in Pretoria, Schoeman represented the {{Rut Blue Bulls}} at various youth tournaments. He played for them at the Under-16 Grant Khomo Week in 2010 and at the 2011 and 2012 Under-18 Craven Week tournaments. His performances in the Craven Week competition also led to his inclusion in the South African Schools side in 2011,[2] playing one match against France.[3] He was once again selected in the South African Schools side in 2012. He played in (and captained) the side in their matches against France[4] and Wales[5] and played off the bench in their match against England.[6] Schoeman then represented the {{Rut Blue Bulls U19}} side in the 2012 and 2013 Under-19 Provincial Championships. In 2014, he was selected in the South Africa Under-20 side for the 2014 IRB Junior World Championship in New Zealand.[7] He was the first points scorer for his side at the tournament, getting an 18th-minute try to help the side to a victory over Scotland.[8] BullsSchoeman made his first class debut during the 2014 Vodacom Cup competition. He started in the {{Rut Blue Bulls}}' 24–26 defeat to eventual champions {{Rut Griquas}}.[8] He remained in the starting line-up for their next match in the competition against the {{Rut Pumas}}.[9] EdinburghIn April 2018, it was announced that Schoeman would join Scottish Pro14 club Edinburgh prior to the 2018–19 Pro14 on a three-year contract.[10] References1. ^{{SA Rugby Player Profile | id=51142 | name=Pierre Schoeman | date=29 May 2016}} {{Edinburgh Rugby squad}}{{Navboxes2. ^{{cite web | url=http://www.rugby15.co.za/2011/07/sa-schools-and-sa-academy-teams-announced/ | title=SA Schools and SA Academy Teams Announced | publisher=Rugby15 | date=16 July 2011 | accessdate=5 June 2014 | deadurl=yes | archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20140303080129/http://www.rugby15.co.za/2011/07/sa-schools-and-sa-academy-teams-announced/ | archivedate=3 March 2014 | df= }} 3. ^{{cite web | url=http://152.111.1.87/argief/berigte/dieburger/2011/08/20/SK/18/skrugbykolom.html | title=Rugbyflitse | publisher=Die Burger | date=20 August 2011 | accessdate=5 June 2014 | language=Afrikaans | deadurl=yes | archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20150622024916/http://152.111.1.87/argief/berigte/dieburger/2011/08/20/SK/18/skrugbykolom.html | archivedate=22 June 2015 | df= }} 4. ^{{SA Rugby Match Centre | id=113231 | homeid=14841 | awayid=14871 | leagueid=1441 | hometeam=South Africa | homescore=17 | awayscore=7 | awayteam=France | matchdate=10 August 2012 | date=15 November 2016}} 5. ^{{SA Rugby Match Centre | id=113251 | homeid=14841 | awayid=14861 | leagueid=1441 | hometeam=South Africa | homescore=24 | awayscore=16 | awayteam=Wales | matchdate=14 August 2012 | date=15 November 2016}} 6. ^{{SA Rugby Match Centre | id=113271 | homeid=14841 | awayid=14851 | leagueid=1441 | hometeam=South Africa | homescore=36 | awayscore=29 | awayteam=England | matchdate=18 August 2012 | date=15 November 2016}} 7. ^{{SA Rugby Article | id=2411934 | leagueid=2034 | title=Junior Springboks named for JWC 2014 | date=22 April 2014 | accessdate=6 June 2016 | archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20160607185606/http://www.sarugby.co.za/article.aspx?id=2411934&fullview=true | archivedate=6 June 2016}} 8. ^1 {{SA Rugby Match Centre | id=117824 | homeid=17454 | awayid=17494 | leagueid=1734 | hometeam=Vodacom Blue Bulls | homescore=24 | awayscore=26 | awayteam=GWK Griquas | matchdate=8 March 2014 | date=15 November 2016}} 9. ^{{SA Rugby Match Centre | id=117914 | homeid=17524 | awayid=17454 | leagueid=1734 | hometeam=Steval Pumas | homescore=22 | awayscore=20 | awayteam=Vodacom Blue Bulls | matchdate=15 March 2014 | date=15 November 2016}} 10. ^{{cite news | url=https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/43659156 | title=Pierre Schoeman: Edinburgh add South African prop on three-year deal | publisher=BBC Sport | date=5 April 2018 | accessdate=6 April 2018}} |title = Squads |list1 ={{2014 Blue Bulls Vodacom Cup squad}} }}{{DEFAULTSORT:Schoeman, Pierre}} 7 : South African rugby union players|Living people|1994 births|People from Mbombela|Rugby union props|Blue Bulls players|South Africa Under-20 international rugby union players |
