The parts are claimed to be as strong as aluminum at about 40 percent of the weight. In addition PEKK resists fire and radiation.[3] References1. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.astm.org/Standards/F2820.htm|title=ASTM F2820 - 12 Standard Specification for Polyetherketoneketone (PEKK) Polymers for Surgical Implant Applications|publisher=}} {{polymer-stub}}2. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.azom.com/news.aspx?newsID=17908|title=PEKK for High Temperature Applications|date=2 July 2009|publisher=}} 3. ^{{Cite news|url=https://www.reuters.com/article/us-boeing-space-exclusive-idUSKBN15I1HW|title=Exclusive: Boeing's space taxis to use more than 600 3D-printed parts|date=2017-02-03|newspaper=Reuters|access-date=2017-02-09}} 3 : Organic polymers|Polyethers|Thermoplastics |
